Newspapers and broadcast news organizations have been beneficiaries of a Trump Bump. The New York Times, Vanity Fair and other “dead tree” media companies have gained thousands of hard copy and digital subscribers. For broadcast news, Trump has meant record profits. Does the election of the new president equate to something akin to job security for journalists, who haven’t had jobs or security for a long, long time?
